My latest is that I have married again. I am now Mrs. Jim Szekely, and I live on a 100 acre farm in Vermilion, Ohio. My birthday present from my husband was 50 baby chicks!
It's nice to find this site and to find info on my old friends and peers from school!
After high school I went to the Ohio School of Broadcast Technique in Cleveland and met my future husband, Nick Ananea, class of 1975, Bedford. We both attended the University of Akron for a while; he graduated. I worked for WKYC-TV in Cleveland, then moved to Canton and worked for WHBC-AM & FM as a broadcast engineer.
Nick and I married and had the kids. He had a heart problem and passed away suddenly at the age of 27, while I was pregnant with our youngest. I had Tony in Ohio, then 5 weeks later moved the family to Phoenix, AZ where we lived for 11 years. I got a full music scholarship to Arizona State University and attended in the 80's.
I decided to move back to Ohio in 1996 and moved to Mentor with the kids. I got a job at Wickliffe Country Place nursing center as a medical records technician. I attended Lakeland Community College during that time and then took a job with the Euclid City Schools as a pc technician, later in network administration. Still playing the horn after 40+ years with the University Heights Symphonic Band, Lakeland Civic Orchestra, and the Euclid Symphony. I live with 2 dogs, 2 cats, and my son Tony.
Along with working and playing the horn, I also am involved with taking pictures and posting bios on findagrave.com. I am a member of the Ohio Cemetery Alliance too. I'd love to hear from old friends!
